Childhood vaccines are important for keeping your child, as well as all the children of our community healthy. Many childhood illnesses that once left kids hospitalized, severely disabled, or deceased are no longer a burden on our society due to vaccines. Pleasant Valley Primary Care requires the pediatric patients under our care to adhere to the required childhood vaccines as set forth by the CDC. We understand that there is some fear and hesitancy when it comes to vaccinating children and we will work with you to develop a schedule that works best for you and your child. All school aged patients will need to be up to date with the required vaccines to remain a patient at this practice. Vaccines include: Dtap (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis), Hib(Hemophilus influenza B), Polio, MMR (measles mumps, rubella), Varicella(chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A, and pneumonia.
