David Roelkey V, MD
David was born and raised in Pleasant Valley. After graduating from Boonsboro High School in 1995, he attended Hagerstown Community College for two years before transferring to Salisbury State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. David attended Hood College working towards his Masters of Biomedical Science while working for the National Cancer Institute before attending medical school. David graduated from Ross University School of Medicine in 2008. He completed a residency in Family Medicine with WVU Rural Family Medicine, Harpers Ferry, WV in 2011. David worked as an attending physician with Harpers Ferry Family Medicine for one year before switching over to urgent care. David enjoys the fast pace of acute care and getting patients seen as soon as possible. Dr. Roelkey currently works full time with UNI Urgent Care in Hagerstown, MD. In addition, he is the Medical director of Pleasant Valley Primary Care and sees patients there on a limited part time basis.
Jessica Roelkey PA-C
Jessica is originally from Chambersburg, PA, graduating from Chambersburg Area High School in 1998. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Shippensburg University and a Master of Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. After seven years of working in research she decided to make a career change to pursue a degree in Physician Assistant Studies, graduating from Shenandoah University in 2013. Jessica worked for WVU Family Medicine in Ranson, WV for seven years before leaving to work in private practice with Vita Family Medicine in Leesburg, VA. Moving to private practice was in preparation to start her own private practice in Boonsboro. Jessica now works full time at Pleasant Valley Primary Care. She prefers to put emphasis on preventative care and lifestyle modifications to prevent disease instead of just treating disease.
